Sierra Leone Peacebuilding Support
The Australian Civilian Corp will provide civilian expertise from the ACC register to undertake peace building advisory support for a 12 month period. The deployment continues Australia's engagement with the United Nations Peace building Commission and supports the recovery and development needs of Sierra Leone, Liberia and possibly other countries in the West Africa region. This ACC deployment in peace building is a practical contribution to stability and development in Sierra Leone and demonstrates Australia's commitment to the region. The total value of this initiative is $1.0 million over 3 years, starting 2011-12.
