WFP MRC and School Feeding Support 2012-13
The World Food Programme's (WFP) Multilateral Regular Contribution and School Feeding Programme Support provides emergency food assistance, logistics and communications; providing nutritional supplements to vulnerable groups during humanitarian crises; supporting the re-establishment of livelihoods and food security in communities during recovery and transition periods; prepositioned humanitarian food reserves to prepare for future emergencies; and capacity building initiatives to assist governments better manage food and nutritional security. The total value of this initiative is $46.0 million expensed during one financial year 2012-13.
