DFAT Direct Aid Program : Protect, Respect and Remedy Rights of communities impacted by extractive companies (15A488)

The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants scheme administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through Australia's diplomatic posts in developing partner countries. The DAP's objective is to deliver targeted local level assistance. The total value of this multi-country initiative is $22 million expensed over the 2015-16 financial year. Funding for this activity supports using voluntary principles and international grievance mechanism to Protect, Respect and Remedy Rights of affected communities impacted by the operation of extractive companies in Liberia
