Civil Society Support - West and Central Africa
The project aims to set up a flexible funding mechanism to allow the provision of support for activities benefiting West and Central African Civil Society (groups, professional associations, institutions, non-governmental organizations, etc.). Such support is intended, among other things, to enable Civil Society to initiate and/or participate in activities related to capacity building, knowledge-sharing, policy dialogue, representation and reflection on current key issues relating to the development of the region and Africa as a whole. This project is in line with the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), which advocates greater African ownership of African development issues.
