Save the Children humanitarian support 2013-2016 - External evaluation SC partnership 2013-2015

Support to Save the Children's humanitarian work during 2014 within the multiannual agreement, 2013-2015 + 2016, with a specific focus on child protection, in sudden on-set as well as protracted emergencies through rapid short-term interventions as well as long-term humanitarian interventions. Capacity building support, operational support and thematic/technical support will also be provided.

The contribution supporting Save the Children Sweden’s humanitarian work 2013-2015 + 2016 has five overall objectives, where objective 5, relevant to the component of the HIF only corresponds to 2014-2015:1) Child protection; Children affected by a humanitarian crisis, where Save the Children intervenes, are protected against violence, neglect, exploitation and abuse2) Capacity for Humanitarian Action; Save the Children has strengthened its ability to respond to the humanitarian needs of children in emergency situations3) Capacity for Humanitarian Action; Save the Children’s civil society partners are empowered to participate in and contribute to humanitarian responses 4) Accountability; Save the Children has strengthened its accountability to children that benefits its humanitarian responses5) Humanitarian innovation: Increased innovation in humanitarian programs resulting in demonstrated and cost-effective improvements in humanitarian action, especially responding to gender-based violence (GBV) in emergencies.In 2015 Sida will also focus on the specific output objective of Save the Children's humanitarian programme in the Central African Republic.In 2016 Sida will also focus on the specific output objective of Save the Children's humanitarian programme in Sudan.
