The World Bank has applied to the Embassy for funding of 4,900,000 SEK (approximately USD 600,000) to carry out the Liberia Household Income and Expenditure Survey during 2015-2016. The intervention aims to improve the capacity of the national statistics system in Liberia, in provision of national accounts, price and poverty data and baseline indicators for the Agenda for Transformation. The aim is set to be achieved through the completion of a 12-month Household Income and Expenditure Survey, covering seasonal variations. The intervention's total budget is USD 3,796,061. The other donors are USAID and the EU. The Liberian government is also funding the intervention.
