Support to Elections Liberia 2017 - Support to Elections 2017
UNDP has submitted to the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia a request for support to implement the on-going "Election Project 2015-2018" which is today funded by UNDP and EU.
The Project expected outcome is: To strengthen the capacity of National Elections Commission (NEC) and core electoral stakeholders to conduct their core activities in an impartial, transparent and sustainable manner and successfully carry out scheduled electoral processes within the electoral cycle 2015-2018.
Presidential and general elections in October 2017 will be in focus for the support.
The intervention's long term objective is to enhance the democratisation process in Liberia through improved electoral institutions and processes.
