Collaborative Support for Health Systems Strengthening
(Liberia): The Collaborative Support for Health (CSH) activity provides technical assistance (TA) to the MOH at the national and county levels to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the health system that are critical in accelerating gains in key health areas of ID, FP, HIV/AIDS, and MNACH. With FY 2017 funds, CSH will provide TA to the MOH through on-site mentoring and coaching through seconded advisors placed at county health teams. The advisors identify gaps in current systems operations and provide targeted TA including but not limited to developing/adapting tools, strategies, standard operation procedures, and job aides in key health systems functions including institutionalizing quality assurance and quality improvement mechanisms; management of human resources; logistic information systems; and health management information systems. CSH will also support development of sustainable health financing models for increased domestic ownership and funding at the central level.
