Privatization & Utility Sector Reform
The Privatization and Utility Sector Reform Project for Uganda aims to improve the quality, coverage, and economic efficiency of commercial and utility services, through privatization, private participation in infrastructure, and an improved regulatory framework. The level two restructuring relates to a request from the Republic of Uganda ('Borrower'), received on March 13, 2014, to advance the project's closing date to March 30, 2014. The current project closing date is February 15, 2015. The main reason for this request is the fact that the underlying project credit (Cr-3411-UG) is fully disbursed and that all the Project's supported activities have been fully completed by now.
