Uganda Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health Services Improvement Project

The development objectives of the Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health Services Improvement Project for Uganda are to: (a) improve utilization of essential health services with a focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services in target districts; and (b) scale-up birth and death registration services. The project comprises of four components. The first component, results-based financing (RBF) for primary health care services objective is to scale-up and institutionalize RBF with a focus on reproductive maternal neonatal child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) services. The second component will strengthen institutional capacity to deliver RMNCAH services. The third component will strengthen institutional capacity for civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) and scale-up birth and death registration (BDR) services. It consists of following sub-components: (i) strengthen institutional capacity to deliver BDR services; and (ii) scale-up BDR services. The fourth component will enhance institutional capacity for management of project-supported activities.
