The overall objective of the project is to increase the production of food crops in Uganda in order to improve both the national food security and house hold nutritional status. In order to achieve this goal the project will increase the production of maize sorghum soyahearns, groundnut, sesame and sunflower seeds. The first two are the principal cereals and the others are the oilseed crops being grown in Uganda.
