Mineral Resources Management Capacity Building

The overall objective of the proposed Sustainable Management of Mineral Resources Project is to assist the Government of Uganda in implementing its strategy to (i) accelerate sustainable development and reduce poverty by strengthening governance, transparency and capacity in the management of mineral resources, with particular emphasis on community development in mining areas and enhancement of small-scale and artisanal mining; and (ii) promote a socially and environmentally sound development of the minerals sector based on private investments.
