Lake Katwe Salt Study II
1. Overall objective : The objective of the study is to assess the state and condition of the production facilities at lake Katwe; evaluate the work required to bring the facilities into operation, and to ascertain the technical, financial and economic viability of the project. 2. Specific objectives : The specific objective of the study is to determine the potential that exists at Lake Katwe and to assess how the brine reserves could be exploited to produce edible table salt for local consumption.
