Alumni Engagement 2016-17
The goal of the Australia Awards is to support partner countries progress their development goals and have positive relationships with Australia that advance mutual interests. Once awardees have completed their study the Australian Government is committed to supporting a global network of alumni who have studied in Australia, to build on their experiences and remain connected to Australia. This investment enables Posts to engage with alumni and foster networks of influence by growing Australia's global alumni community. The total value of this investment is $1.0 million expensed in the 2016-17 financial year.
