The project allows the International AIDS Society to support scientific and plenary sessions at the XVIII International AIDS Conference on topics related to maternal and child health in the context of HIV/AIDS, such as the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. The International AIDS Conference is the world's largest health and development conference. It brings together people from developed and developing countries working in the field of HIV/AIDS, as well as researchers, policy makers, persons living with HIV and other individuals committed to ending the pandemic. The XVIII International AIDS Conference was held in Vienna, Austria, from July 18th to 23rd, 2010.
