Enhancing resilience in Karamoja Uganda
To increase the resilience of targeted communities to climate extremes and weather events. The programme will support 700,000 people to cope with the effects of climate change, this includes: 200,000 people with improved food security through participation in public works programmes; 6,000 agro-pastoralists and pastoralists with access to improved animal nutrition; and 175,000 children under five and pregnant and lactating women treated for malnutrition and with improved access to water by March 2017
