Increasing coverage of Long Lasting Insecticide Nets in Uganda
To increase use of Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets (LLINs) among children under 5 years of age and pregnant women. This support will fill the 5 million LLINs critical gap needed to achieve universal coverage in Uganda in 2013. UK’s support will protect at least 1.8 million children against malaria, avert at least 30,000 child deaths and contribute to reducing malaria related morbidity and mortality in Uganda between 2013 and 2015.
