UNFPA SRHR 2013-14
The support to UNFPA, which is complimentary to UNFPA core support, aims to contribute to improving the health sector indicators under maternal and child health, HIV prevention as well general interventions to alleviate poverty as a results of ill health. Sweden has supported UNFPA core and project support since 2011. The support in line with the health sector objective.
Update as of 24 April 2015:The overall goal of the project is to improvie the status of sexual nd reporductive health and rights SRHR of the people of UgandaObjectives: within 24 months time from project stat:To increase coverage for selected sexual and reproductive health services in the 8 UNFPA/GOU country program focus districts and 5 HIV thematic districtsTo strenthen capacity of leaderhsips of 9 cultural and 3 religious institutions for their (re)engagement in HIV prevention and promotion of FP/MH and GBV services
