TBD-Strengthening Meteorological Services, Products and Use in the Agricultural and Water Sectors
(Uganda): .Focused GCC- Adaptation funding of $500,000 will be used to enhance resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate change of people, places and livelihoods upon which they depend by informing the Government of Uganda's plans, strategies and policies. This activity is a partnership between USAID and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) to improve the meteorological value chain (data collection, processing, product generation, dissemination, and utilization) and enhance the capacity of end-users to use meteorological information. The activity will support: (1) improved organizational capacity at the Ugandan Meteorological Authority; (2) better collection, digitization, and analysis of meteorological data; (3) improved dissemination of metrological data through traditional and innovative mechanisms; and (4) improved production and dissemination of meteorological products. ...
