Uganda Health Supply Chain (UHSC)
(Uganda): UHSC aims to increase the availability, accessibility and appropriate use of essential medicines and health supplies (EMHS) through reform of national policies and strategies to maximize efficiency, transparency and equity in use of EMHS resources and country capacity building for effective management of supply chain operations. Expected results in FY2015 include: advocating for revision in health care budget allocation; continuation of action on improving access to life-saving medicines for women and children; expansion of performance assessment, supervision and reporting system nationally; introduction/implementation integrated logistics management information system for improved data availability at all levels; and continued progress in integrating health commodity management in pre-service curricula.
