TBD Social Marketing Activity (SMA)

(Uganda): The Social Marketing Activity will serve as USAID Uganda's flagship program for Social Marketing and successor to USAID Uganda's AFFORD program, which ended in September 2014. The program's goal is to contribute to a reduction in new HIV infections, total fertility, maternal and child mortality, malnutrition and malaria, and to improve access to family planning.This four-year activity aims to improve utilization of health-related social marketing products and services among under-served Ugandan consumers in rural and urban areas. With FY 2015 GHP funds, this activity will increase the demand for and utilization of family planning, nutrition, malaria, and maternal and child health services to a number of target audiences, including those in hard-to-reach areas. This activity will also strengthen systems for local organizations to ensure sustained, equitable access to health products and services.
