Private Health Support (PHS)
(Uganda): .This activity mobilizes the private sector to provide high-quality health services from private-for-profit and private not-for-profit providers. It collaborates across all sectors to expand availability of services by private providers; increase affordability of services; and improve private health facilities and services across a range of RMNCH, nutrition and HIV services. It provides technical assistance to the private sector to build structures to regulate and monitor quality and compliance according to standards, report to the national HMIS, network and coordination. It engages in discussions around national health policy, resource allocation and programming for sustained delivery of quality services, and supports the professional medical councils, the Ministry of Health, Public-Private Partnership for Health, and district coordinating committees to provide expertise, enhance quality standards, improve access to credit, support accreditation and provide leadership......
