Liberia Decentralization Support Program - Decentralisation Support
Det liberianska inrikesministeriet har ansökt om bidrag till finansiering av Liberia Decentralization Support Program (LDSP), under 2016-2017. Programmet har följande förväntade (outcome) resultat: Den statliga administrationen på lokal nivå lokal förvaltar de delegerade resurserna och levererar offentliga tjänster; den lokala förvaltningens leverans av tjänster och ansvarstagande har förbättrats; det legala ramverket för decentraliserad stryre är färdig; det liberianska inrikesministeriet och Governance Commission har ökad kapacitet att leda och genomföra decentraliseringsreformer.
Insatsens totala budget är upskattad till USD 19.9 miljoner, och budgeten för 2016-2017 är USD 12.7 miljoner. Sverige planerar att bidra med SEK 45 miljoner. Övriga finansiärer är den liberianska staten och utvecklingspartners EU, UNDP, UNMIL och USAID.
The Liberian Ministry of Internal Affairs has requested Embassy of Sweden support for funding Liberia Decentralization Support Program during 2015-2017.
The expected outcomes are: "Deconcentrated services and corresponding resources management at the assigned level of government; improved service delivery and accountability of local governments; necessary legal and regulatory framework for decentralization is in place; and capacity-building of the responsible institutions.
The intervention's total budget is USD 19.9 million. The other development partners contributing with funding EU USD 5.5 million, UNDP USD 2.5 million, USAID USD 1.0 million and UNMIL USD 0.5 million. The Liberian government has allocated in the current annual budget USD 0.5 million. Sweden will contribute USD 5.2 million.
