Ministry of Health (MOH) FARA 2.0
(Liberia): .FY 2017 funds will be used to support the MOH to implement an integrated package of reproductive maternal neo-natal child health/family planning (RMNCH/FP) services as defined in the Essential Package of Health Services (EPHS). The EPHS outlines a comprehensive set of services including counselling during ANC and PNC visits to educate pregnant and new mothers to identify danger signs related to newborn illness and educate on essential newborn care actions including but not limited to kangaroo mother care and early initiation of breastfeeding. Funds also support the EPHS components of Malaria and HIV prevention, diagnosis and treatment services at the facility level specifically for children under five and pregnant women. The MOH's stewardship and institutional capacity to manage delivery of these services is further strengthened through NGO or County Health Team specific implemented activities..
