Liberia Agribusiness Development Activity (LADA)
(Liberia): .The Liberia Agriculture Development Activity (LADA) activity will use $4.85 million of FY 2017 funds to strengthen food security and increase income of smallholder farmers, especially women and youth. Specifically, the activity will strengthen agro-dealers and aggregators to channel improved inputs and technical assistance to increase smallholder farmers' income. The activity will award matching Co-Investment Fund (CIF) grants worth $1.2 million and leverage private investment with a target of $3.6 million. The activity will use $3.65 million to provide technical assistance to over 30 agro-enterprises impacting over 8,000 individuals and support all three components as follows: 1: Increase private sector investment in agriculture input systems; 2: Increase private sector investment in post-harvest handling, packaging and auxiliary services; and 3: Strengthen facilitation, market information, advocacy and support..
