International Seminar Support Scheme Phase III

The International Seminar Support Scheme (ISSS) is a small grant scheme that funds developing country participants attendance at international development-oriented seminars/conferences in Australia and overseas. The scheme helps to develop knowledge and technical expertise in developing countries and builds linkages between the government, academic and community sectors in Australia and our partner developing countries. ISSS is a discretionary scheme. Funds are limited and competition for them is strong. Applications need to provide a convincing case for support, with clear objectives and details of how they will be achieved. Successful applications must demonstrate tangible outcomes and practical contributions to the economic development/social advancement of developing countries. The total value of this multi-country initiative is $6.0 million over 3 years, starting 2012-13.
