LUMUSTprojektet mellan Mbarara och Lunds universitet har fokuserat kring kapacitetsutveckling för personal och studenter på de två universiteten, ett Mastersprogram i folkhälsa har påbörjats. Insatsen för att utveckla en HIV-policy vid Mbararas universitet liksom HIV/AIDS kompisprojektet har lett till öpenhet kring ungdomshälsa och HIV/AIDS.
The interventions for the LUMUST project have sustainable results in the areas of capacity bulding for staff and student exchange in the two universities, initiated a Masters of Public Health program through the collaboration. The Mbarara HIV policy and the peer project have led to reduced stigma and increased openness to HIV and ASRH issues. Balance 5 Million UGX approve into the phaseout workplan
