HIV/Health Initiatives in Workplaces Activity (HIWA)
(Uganda): .HIWA will support the delivery of health and HIV/AIDS services at the workplace. The target population is the Uganda Police Force, private security guards from companies with national coverage, Uganda Wildlife Authority staff and park wardens, other national park staff, their families and communities. In FY 2017, HIWA will support a range of Maternal, Nutrition, and Child Health (MNCH) interventions, including integrated antenatal care; maternity and postnatal care; infant delivery by a skilled attendant; immunization outreach activities; and nutrition services, with an emphasis on infant nutrition in the first 1,000 days after birth. HIWA will conduct support supervision, coaching and mentorship to ensure delivery of quality MNCH services.
