Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Agriculture activity
(Uganda): .This activity partners with private and public sector institutions to improve the enabling environment for agricultural development, trade with American small businesses and national security interests. It is an integral part of the Feed the Future initiative, and contributes to achieving sustainable increases in agriculture sector incomes and trade. It aims to: 1) remove policy and regulatory constraints to increase trade capacity for American and local companies, agricultural production, processing, and marketing of goods; 2) strengthen capacity of Government of Uganda (GOU) institutions to facilitate agricultural development and trade, which addresses concerns of marginalized populations susceptible to social unrest; 3) strengthen capacity of GOU institutions to respond to adverse weather impacts on agriculture; and 4) enhance capacity of Ugandan private sector and civil society institutions to contribute to policy decisions related to agricultural development, and trade... ..
