Agribusiness Development Facility (PCP)
(Uganda): .The Fund's investors include JP Morgan Chase, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Gatsby Charitable Trust. USAID, through its Development Credit Authority, is guaranteeing the $8 million investment from JP Morgan. The AAC Fund's investment strategy is building a portfolio of businesses that support the agricultural value chain and have a clear competitive advantage, competent and ambitious management and the potential for further growth. The fund has an explicit commitment to social impact, and has agreed to focus on companies that serve smallholder farmers in particular. The typical investment size ranges between $250,000 and $2 million, with an expected average deal size of $1 million, resulting in approximately 20 investments in total with the intention to invest in the "missing middle". .....
