Health, Agricultural and Nutrition Development for Sustainability (HANDS)
The project focuses on enhancing the resiliency and reduce vulnerability of target rural communities and households to food insecurity. The project will target more than 150,000 beneficiaries in eighteen districts in the counties of Grand Gedeh (Putu, B'hai, Konobo, Gbao, Cavalla, Glio-Twarbo and Tchien) and River Gee (Sarbo, Tuobo, Nyenewriken, Nanee, Nyenabo, Putupo, Chedepo, Gbeapo, Glaro, Karford and Gboe-Ploe).
Provide goods, food, personnel, services, cash, vouchers, family tracing and other assistance to meet basic human needs in order to foster transition from relief according to principles of universality, impartiality and human dignity, as well as implement risk reduction and resilience activities within a disaster response context. This element should be selected when possible as part of an integrated, coordinated and/or multi-sectoral approach.
